Huawei outlines the importance of gigaband compatible infrastructure to not only meet the demands of today’s network, but the future needs of a connected world. Gigaband services (100-1000mbps) can support the next wave of connected services such as UHD video, smart home applications and of course IoT.
FTTH has an unprecedented capacity to deliver gigaband services, which has already been witnessed in countries across Asia such as Japan, Korea and China. Although now it’s not only FTTH, with breakthroughs in DSL and coax technologies such as G.fast and DOCIS 3.1.
